American Journalist Killed by in Ukraine

According to Ukrainian media, American journalist, Brent Renaud, was slain and at least two people were injured in the Kyiv suburb of Irpin. According to Ukrainian police, Russian forces opened fire on a vehicle carrying several journalists, killing Renaud and injuring others. The wounded were subsequently transferred to a hospital by Ukrainians.

Renaud was covering footage on the latest updates on the Ukraine and Russian War. They were offered a car ride to another part of the bridge. After they crossed the checkpoint, the driver shot both of them and they were separated from each other. But Arredondo saw him die after he was “shot in the neck”.

While Renaud had a press ID from the New York Times, he hasn’t worked for them in years, according to a statement from the publication.

Biden has been furious about how Putin is handling the war, and he announced an additional $800 million in security assistance to Ukraine, funded by a large budget bill he signed into law that contains $13.6 billion in new aid to Ukraine.

The additional funds will give more humanitarian, security and economic assistance to Ukraine, with nearly half of the aid package going toward deploying soldiers to the region and sending defensive equipment to the embattled nation.
