President Joe Biden used his speech at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday to push disinformation about his likely 2024 rival former President Donald Trump despite issuing a warning about the spread of false information just moments earlier.
“The defeated former President has made no secret of his attack on our democracy he said he wants to be a dictator on day one and so much more. He tells supporters he is the revenge and retribution. When in God’s name ever heard of another president say something like that? And he promised a bloodbath when he loses again,” Biden claimed taking Trump’s previous statements out of context to smear him.
Biden calls on journalists to rise up against Trump in the 2024 election:
"On the third anniversary of January 6, I went to Valley Forge and I said the most urgent question of our time is whether democracy is still — is still the sacred cause of America. That is the question… pic.twitter.com/KShsLCvuwI

The president’s comments came almost immediately after he warned about the dangers of “disinformation” during his speech. Biden also used the event to call Trump a threat to democracy and make light of concerns from voters about his advanced age and cognitive decline.
“The 2024 election is in full swing and yes age is an issue. I’m a grown man running against a 6-year-old. Well I feel great. I really feel great,” Biden said.
The dinner’s headliner Colin Jost a cast member of “Saturday Night Live” praised Biden for bringing “decency” to the White House and attacked Trump. However, former President Trump took to Truth Social to criticize the event asserting that Jost “BOMBED” and that Biden was an “absolute disaster.”
