Biden Strategic Oil Failure

Anyone that has been paying attention knows that President Joe Biden has declared war on American energy. On the first day of his administration, he killed the Keystone Pipeline.

On the campaign trail, he promised that he would stop the use of fossil fuels. It does not matter that green technology is decades (if not longer) away from being a reliable replacement for traditional energy sources.

For Democrats, facing reality is not as important as being ideologically sound. The administration has done everything it can to abandon the policies that had us energy independent just over a year ago. The results have been catastrophic.

Gas and energy prices have been skyrocketing, even before Putin’s invasion of Ukraine. The administration has been trying to blame the energy inflation on the Russian president, but the American people are not buying it. All the polling suggests that the Democrats are going to get destroyed in the midterms and the administration is desperate to do anything to change the narrative. The president has adopted the tactic of dipping into the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) to try and bring gas prices down.

It is important to note that the SPR is supposed to be used for emergencies. Being afraid of a political defeat does not qualify. That said, these moves are not going to do much good. The United States consumes 20 million barrels of oil a day. This most recent release (the third of Biden’s Presidency) of 1 million barrels of oil a day will not have a major impact. If it even makes it to consumers in the United States, that is.

ZeroHedge is reporting that the SPR oil is in fact heading abroad to Europe. Europe is experiencing an energy crunch because of its shift to unreliable green energy over the past decade. The embargo on Russian energy has caught the entire continent flatfooted and desperately looking for alternatives. It is ironic that some of the SPR is not going to help Americans who are suffering from Biden’s policies. This is just another example of how the administration continues to do whatever it can to ruin American energy.

November cannot come soon enough.
