Bill Maher Learns Europe Has More Restrictive Abortion Laws Than the United States

The abortion debate is front and center in the national discussion due to a leaked draft memo that shows that there are enough votes on the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade. After the leak, the left immediately got to their usual violent and tumultuous tricks.

A group called “Ruth Sent Us,” a reference to the now deceased Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, published the home addresses of the conservative justices on the court. Predictably, protests broke out at Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s house. Justice Samuel Alito also had to cancel a public appearance and has been moved to a secure location as a result of the leftist mobs.

The left has been pushing for unlimited access to abortion for so long that many liberals are unaware of the fact that the United States has the some of the most extreme abortion laws in the world. Even liberal host Bill Maher was shocked to learn that Europe is more restrictive than the U.S.

What this shows is a reflexive adherence to dogma by liberals, rather than a careful consideration of a position. This is why it is difficult to debate these types of issues. The left only cares about consolidating power without regard for intellectual honesty or discourse. All the hysterics and intimidation tactics do not seem to be working, however. Another leak came from the court indicating that the conservative justices are not moving from their original positions, despite pressure from Chief Justice John Roberts.

The social pressure and protests are sure to intensify as the summer progresses and we get closer to the official decision. There have been calls for Chief Justice Roberts to publish the opinion to reduce the physical danger to the conservative justices. He has seemed reluctant to do so because he is still trying to lobby the conservative justices to soften their approach. If someone is harmed, it will be a dark day for the court.

Democrats have chosen abortion rights as their line in the sand. However, polling is showing that inflation and gas prices are more relevant to the electorate. The abortion battle not only looks like a loser for Democrats, but they are out of touch with what is concerning most Americans.
