Bondi Accuses Crockett Of Inciting Crimes While Tesla Protest Leaders Say March 29 Will Be Peaceful

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) is under fire from Attorney General Pam Bondi, who claims the Democrat’s support for the Tesla Takedown protests amounts to encouraging threats against Elon Musk. The controversy stems from Crockett’s birthday remarks during an online rally where she expressed her desire for Musk to be “taken down.”

Bondi’s warning came during a Fox News appearance, where she said elected officials should avoid language that could be interpreted as violent. Crockett, however, defended herself during an MSNBC interview, explaining that her comments were aimed at Musk’s business empire and not at him personally.

The protest movement she supports is targeting Tesla dealerships across the U.S. with demonstrations set for March 29 — Crockett’s birthday. Organizers say the protests are in response to Musk’s growing influence in government through his leadership at the Department of Government Efficiency.

Tesla Takedown leaders have emphasized that their actions are meant to be peaceful and legal. Their website outlines rules for participation and encourages all attendees to follow local laws and avoid any form of violence or property damage.

Despite these disclaimers, the Trump administration has classified a series of unrelated Tesla vandalism cases as domestic terrorism. Officials have made no formal connection between the Tesla Takedown effort and the arson incidents but have warned that illegal activity will be prosecuted aggressively.

Crockett sits on the DOGE Oversight Committee and has criticized Musk’s role in shaping federal policies. She argues that his power extends far beyond business and into areas that affect national governance.

At the rally, Crockett urged others to speak out through protest and added that her statements were clearly about financial pressure, not physical threats.
