Border Patrol Agent Attacked By Migrant At Southern Border

A border patrol agent was recently attacked by a migrant cartel informer who carved the word “RAT” into his forehead, according to former Rep. Mayra Flores (R-TX), the wife of a Border Patrol agent.

The former Texas lawmaker shared the graphic image of the border patrol agent after being attacked. She described what led to the agent’s attack.

“This is the type of violence that is being exerted on Border Patrol Agents by those who don’t want to be apprehended,” Flores wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter. “The suspect was labeled a rat by the cartels and fought against the agent until backup arrived. Please pray for our men and women in uniform.”

Flores also posted an image of the wounded Border Patrol agent, whose forehead allegedly had a carving etched by a Mexican drug cartel, per the New York Post.

Flores is currently running for the House once again after previously losing her seat to Rep. Vicente Gonzalez (D-TX). The former Texas congresswoman said she is running on a platform to secure the southern border, unlike Gonzalez, who supports open borders.

“Our values align with the Republican Party. Our values align. I am pro-God, pro-life, pro-family. The Democrat Party stands against everything we stand for,” she said at her campaign launch, Politico reported.

Since President Joe Biden took office in 2021, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency has had over 7 million encounters with illegal immigrants at the southern border. Such a surge in illegal immigration has led to a fentanyl crisis, which has taken the lives of over 100,000 Americans.

Recently, the Biden administration has faced criticism from several Democrats, such as Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who wrote an op-ed for Newsweek, blaming Biden’s “refusal” to secure the southern border for the immigration crisis the U.S. is currently in.

“Clearly, the migrant crisis resulting from the Biden administration’s refusal to secure our southern border has created impossible burdens for municipalities across the country. The idea of sanctuary cities was to protect immigrants from ICE raids. But no city can manage endless floods of migrants pouring through an open border,” Kennedy wrote.
