Failed Presidential And Senatorial Candidate Beto O’Rourke Now Running For Texas Governor

Texas is a great state that’s been in leftist crosshair for quite some time. Democrats loathe the Lone Star State and would love nothing more than to regress it into a cesspool resembling California 2.0.

During the 2020 presidential election, Democrats invested a pretty penny in flipping Texas from red to blue. Yet, despite their best efforts, the Lone Star State remained red, and President Trump won the state during the presidential election.

Many states have gubernatorial races coming up in 2022, and Texas happens to be one of these states.

In light of this, Democrat Beto O’Rourke (who failed to win his party’s presidential nomination in 2020 and failed to defeat Ted Cruz in the 2018 senatorial race) is now running to be governor of the Lone Star State, as TheBlaze confirms.

During the 2020 presidential election, O’Rourke ran on being anti-Second Amendment. During a Democratic political debate, “hell yes, the government will take Americans’ AR-15s, AK-47s,” and other so-called assault rifles.

In launching his Texas gubernatorial bid, O’Rourke is standing by his horrific, anti-gun policies. The Texas Democrat has furthermore gone on the record supporting mandatory buybacks, defunding law enforcement, crushing the energy sector, and more.

O’Rourke would serve as nothing more than another reinforcement of the dangerous Biden administration. He is as radically far left as they come and not suitable for the position of dog catcher, let alone as governor of Texas.

Governor Abbott of Texas has been faithfully serving to uphold freedom, protect individual liberties, and counter the tyranny and destruction of the Biden administration. The Texas Republican governor even vowed to hire Border Patrol agents to work in the Lone Star State if Biden fires them for refusing the COVID vaccine.

In response to news of O’Rourke’s gubernatorial candidacy, the Texas governor said, “bring it.” Abbott then called out the extensive ways that O’Rourke would bring nothing but crisis and ruin to the Lone Star State.

The governor explained some of O’Rourke’s disastrous policies entail allowing open borders, encouraging illegal immigration, and codifying socialism.

A Democrat has not served as governor of the Lone Star State since 1990. Even if O’Rourke does manage to win the Democratic Party’s nomination, he will be very hard-pressed to win an election against Abbott.

Gun rights and Second Amendment support are vital parts of the Second Amendment that Texas’s people hold dear. The last thing Texas wants is a gun-grabbing communist coming in and messing things up.
