While speaking at a campaign event last night, Congressional candidate Yesli Vega (R-VA) had stern words for Democrats with plans to poison the youth with woke ideology.

“We have to take our country back. It’s insane that we’re talking about jailing parents for protecting their children,” said Vega.
“Who would have thought that we would be having that conversation?” she asked the crowd. “But that is how radical, how extreme today’s liberal, progressive Democrat Party has become.”
Vega, who’s running against incumbent Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-VA), appeared alongside Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R-VA), Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears (R-VA) and AG Jason Miyares (R-VA) at the packed Triangle, Virginia rally.

The former police officer also spoke of her El Salvadorian lineage and how her immigrant parents epitomize the American dream.
“My parents fled war-torn El Salvador fleeing the Civil War. And they came to America with nothing but the clothes on their back to hard work and humility,” said Vega.
“My parents have realized the American dream,” she said. “And because of my parents, I’m fighting to keep the American Dream alive for my children, and their children, and your children.”
Vega then poked a gaping hole in the Democrat-patented “America is racist” theory.
“And despite what the other side says about America being racist,” she began. “Despite what the other side says about America being oppressive, I tell them, ‘Look at my face and read my story. You’ll never forget it.’”
Vega also made clear her stance on gender conversion therapy for minors, an illegal act according to Virginia state law.
“It’s insane that you have to be over 18 years of age to get in a tanning bed, but it’s okay for a 12-, 13-year-old to mutilate their bodies.”
This has been one of the most highly anticipated and expensive races of the 2022 midterms. Spanberger has held office since the 2018 midterms.
