Musk Considers Lawsuit Against Walz After MSNBC Appearance

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz may soon face legal action after making inflammatory remarks about Elon Musk on MSNBC. The tech billionaire responded Wednesday to a viral clip of Walz pushing an already-debunked claim, suggesting he might sue.

The controversy stems from an interview on “The Rachel Maddow Show” in which Walz revived false accusations that Musk performed a Nazi salute. “Of course he did,” Walz said, despite widespread debunking of the claim, including a statement from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejecting the accusation.

Filmmaker Robby Starbuck posted the video on X, writing that he hoped Musk would “sue him for all he’s worth.” Musk quickly responded, stating, “I think I will.” He also referred to Walz as a “creepy” clown emoji, a remark that caught attention online.

Musk’s legal team could also take aim at MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow. She previously claimed Musk’s gesture resembled a “Roman salute” but admitted she had no evidence of his intent. The accusation stems from a moment at President Donald Trump’s inauguration rally when Musk tapped his chest and extended his arm, a movement that critics twisted into a smear campaign.

Walz, who served as Kamala Harris’ running mate in the 2024 election, has continued attacking Trump and his allies after his resounding defeat. Meanwhile, Musk, who spent $277 million supporting Republican candidates, has increasingly drawn criticism from left-wing media figures and politicians.

Musk’s net worth currently stands at $428 billion, according to Bloomberg, making him the world’s wealthiest person. Neither Walz nor MSNBC have responded to Musk’s suggestion that he will take them to court.
