Musk Says Harris Administration Would Use Legal Tactics To Shut Down X

Elon Musk, the owner of X and CEO of Tesla, warned that if Kamala Harris is elected president in 2024, she would use legal battles to dismantle his companies, especially X. In an interview with Tucker Carlson, Musk claimed that Harris would not allow X to operate freely and would use lawsuits and government actions to shut down the platform.

“They’ll try to shut it down by any means possible,” Musk told Carlson. He explained that a Harris administration would likely increase legal pressure on his companies through lawsuits, targeting X’s role as a space for free speech. He said these legal challenges could include passing restrictive laws and using the courts to prosecute his businesses.

Musk highlighted the current lawsuits his companies are already facing, including a case brought against SpaceX by the Department of Justice. The lawsuit accuses SpaceX of not hiring asylum seekers, a charge Musk disputes, arguing that the company’s work on sensitive national defense projects requires strict hiring restrictions. Tesla is also facing a lawsuit alleging racial harassment in the workplace.

Musk has been a vocal advocate for free speech and a supporter of President Donald Trump’s bid to return to the White House. He has attended Trump’s rallies and supported Republican candidates, which he believes will lead to further legal action under a Harris administration.
