Not only has the border crisis gotten worse, but Vice President Kamala Harris hasn’t helped anything. Harris was put in charge of the border within a few months of her and President Joe Biden taking office but no changes were made — aside from removing the Remain in Mexico policy, which was quickly reversed by the Supreme Court.
With Title 42 expiring, many are continuing to speak out about the Biden administration’s refusal to address the southern border. Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) ripped Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) during a House Judiciary Committee meeting on the border issue.
Roy addressed the need for Title 42 and the upcoming wave of migrants moving toward the United States. Roy said, “Little girls being put in stash houses, getting raped, cartels making a $100 million and then the chairman scoffs!”
The truth is that illegal immigration has its dangers because there are real monsters in this world that will take advantage of desperation. It may not be a pretty view of illegal immigration, but that doesn’t mean that it’s not happening.
Roy then asked, “Has the chairman been in the last year to the border of Texas? And met with border patrol agents? Gone down and talked to the people seeing what is actually happening?”
Roy was making the point that the priorities of the Democrats and Biden’s administration are not informed by the facts. They don’t actually care about people. If they did, they would regulate illegal immigration and tighten up the border.
The focus should be on the ranchers, the land owners, the Texas citizens and every citizen across the country. The job of the federal government is to protect the border from invasion and the Biden administration isn’t only refusing to do so, but it seems that they’re intentionally keeping the border open to anyone who wants to cross.
The fact that 1.7 million illegal immigrants have been deported under Title 42 means that those numbers could have created serious issues for Americans if Title 42 didn’t exist. Democrats would love to see all illegal immigrants become citizens, because they’re expecting their votes.
