Police Release Surveillance Of Suspect Who Beat Elderly Pro-Lifer

Police have finally released surveillance photos of the man believed to be responsible for the brutal beating of an elderly pro-life activist — punching and kicking the man in the face simply for praying outside of a Planned Parenthood.

On May 26, two elderly pro-life activists were attacked outside of a Planned Parenthood in Baltimore, Maryland. The men have been identified as 73-year-old Mark Crosby and 80-year-old Dick Schafer, but their attacker has not yet been identified.

Speaking with LifeSiteNews, local pro-life advocate John Roswell revealed that the attacker had asked one of the pro-abortion Planned Parenthood escorts to hold his drink — then proceeded to lunge at Schafer “who believes his back was turned at that time to the assailant.”

“Mark, who was in the street, tried to go to Dick’s aid and was hit in the face, knocking him on the ground, and the man then kicked him in the head,” Roswell told the pro-life outlet.

According to police, video of the brutal attack “shows the suspect strike [Crosby] in the face with a closed fist as [Crosby] is on his back on the ground. The suspect is then observed standing up and with extreme force, kicks [Crosby] directly in the face.”

An anonymous witness reported that the suspect had knocked Schaefer unconscious.

“He speared the one gentleman over that flowerpot into the window and knocked him out. He was out cold for several minutes,” the witness explained.

Crosby suffered several injuries, including a fracture in his face and a damaged bone eye orbit to be replaced with metal. A nurse from a nearby pro-life pregnancy resource center reportedly rushed over to provide aid to the injured men.

Police have now released surveillance photos of the suspect — who was described as a 20-something-year-old roughly six-foot-tall White male with brown hair and a full beard, wearing a t-shirt, blue jeans, and brown shoes.

A $2,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the attacker’s arrest. Those who know his identity or where he can be located have been asked to call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7Lockup.
