Senator Reveals 50 ISIS-Linked Migrants Missing In US

Sen. Jim Banks (R-IN) issued a stark warning Sunday, revealing that 50 illegal immigrants smuggled into the U.S. by ISIS-linked networks are unaccounted for. This news comes in the aftermath of terror attacks in New Orleans and Las Vegas, both tied to ISIS-inspired actors.

Banks, during a CNN interview, explained that the Department of Homeland Security reported 400 ISIS-affiliated individuals entered the country last year through smuggling operations. Of those, 50 cannot be located. “We don’t know who they are or where they are,” Banks said, calling for urgent action to address the situation.

The senator blamed the Biden administration’s lax border enforcement for allowing these individuals to cross into the U.S. undetected. He emphasized the importance of President Donald Trump’s incoming administration in restoring strong border security.

Banks highlighted Trump’s previous success in eliminating the ISIS caliphate during his first term as an indicator of his ability to handle current threats. He also praised Trump’s intelligence appointments, Kash Patel and Pete Hegseth, for their commitment to reprioritizing national security efforts.

The disclosure follows deadly New Year’s Eve attacks. In New Orleans, an ISIS-inspired attacker drove a truck into a Bourbon Street crowd, killing 14 and injuring dozens. A separate attack in Las Vegas caused additional casualties. Both incidents have renewed fears of further infiltration.

Efforts to locate the missing individuals continue as officials work to prevent future threats from similar networks.
