Texas GOP Investigates Claims Of Democrats Registering Noncitizens Outside DMV Offices

Texas Republican leaders are investigating reports that Democrats have been registering noncitizens to vote outside several Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) offices in the state.

The claims, first highlighted by Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo on social media, allege that voter registration tables were set up at DMVs in Weatherford and Fort Worth, where immigrants were allegedly being signed up without proper verification of citizenship.

Parker County GOP Chairman Brady Gray responded quickly, stating that his office is taking the allegations seriously and will be investigating the matter fully. Gray said that many residents have reached out with concerns, prompting the local GOP to dig deeper into the situation. He characterized the alleged activities as an attempt by Democrats to “steal elections” through questionable tactics.

Tarrant County GOP Chairman Bo French echoed Gray’s concerns, calling for immediate action from Texas state leaders. French demanded stronger voter ID laws and additional measures to prevent noncitizens from voting, warning that Texas is at risk of being “lost forever” if illegal voting isn’t stopped. He also urged Gov. Greg Abbott (R) and Attorney General Ken Paxton to take swift action.

Paxton, who shared Bartiromo’s post on social media, later issued a statement reaffirming his commitment to election integrity. He warned that anyone found guilty of registering noncitizens to vote or participating in illegal voter schemes would face serious legal consequences.

As investigations unfold, these allegations are likely to fuel ongoing concerns over the integrity of the upcoming election and whether voter registration laws are being properly enforced.
