Trump Sues 60 Minutes And Pollster Ann Selzer Over ‘Fake’ Iowa Poll

President-elect Donald Trump has filed lawsuits against 60 Minutes and Iowa pollster Ann Selzer, accusing them of releasing a misleading poll that interfered with the election process. Trump argued the pre-election poll inaccurately predicted he would lose Iowa.

Speaking at a press conference at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, Trump criticized Selzer, saying, “She’s a very good pollster. She’s always gotten me right. But this time, she said I’d lose by three or four points. That’s fraud, and it’s election interference.”

Selzer, who conducted the poll for The Des Moines Register, denied the accusations. During a recent PBS Iowa Press interview, she defended her work, saying, “I have no motivation to manipulate a poll. It goes against everything I stand for.”

Despite the poll, Trump won Iowa with a record-breaking margin, which he celebrated on Truth Social. “A totally fake poll that caused distrust at a critical moment,” Trump wrote. “Thank you to the GREAT PEOPLE OF IOWA for seeing through it.”

The lawsuits reflect Trump’s growing push to challenge what he views as corrupt practices in polling and media reporting. Supporters have praised the move as a necessary step to hold pollsters accountable, while critics view it as another attempt to undermine the media.

Trump continues to insist that transparency in polling is crucial to protecting future elections, particularly in swing states where public opinion matters most.
