Tucker Carlson Accuses Newsom Of Leading ‘Coup’ Against Joe Biden

In the latest episode of his “Tucker on Twitter” show, former Fox News host Tucker Carlson asserted that California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) is leading the “coup” to replace President Joe Biden.

Carlson called out the mainstream media for defending the Biden family in the wake of recent IRS whistleblower revelations that Joe Biden was in the room with his son, Hunter Biden, while Hunter was sending a threatening WhatsApp message to his Chinese Communist Party-linked business partner.

According to the former Fox News host, the media is barely trying to excuse the Biden family’s alleged crimes because they have no fear that their preferred candidate will lose the next election.

“That’s the way you talk when you’ve got nothing to fear from an upcoming presidential election,” Carlson said.

“You don’t even bother to think of an excuse for your candidate, because you don’t need to, your country has electronic voting machines. Joe Biden got 81,282,916 votes in 2020. And you’re pretty sure he can do it again. In fact, you know he can, you’re not worried,” he added.

Carlson then argued that Democrats “should be a little worried” because the elderly president has “begun that descent” from “acuity to permanent unconsciousness.”

He went on to discuss the possible replacements for Biden — noting that Vice President Kamala Harris, who recently plummeted to a record-low net favorability for a vice president, could take over the presidency if Biden could not complete his first term.

“That means Kamala Harris will become President of the United States,” Carlson explained. “And nobody wants that. Not even her husband. In real life nobody likes Kamala Harris — that’s not an attack on her. In fact, it’s possible to feel pity for someone who’s so universally reviled. It is instead an observation of unchanging physical reality, like gravity or photosynthesis. Nobody wants Kamala Harris to be president. No one will benefit if she becomes president.”

Carlson doesn’t believe that the Democrat Party would choose Harris, who received essentially zero support for her candidacy in the last presidential primary, to replace Biden in the 2024 election. Instead, Biden’s replacement would need to be “as shallow, ruthless, and transactional” as he is — criteria that Carlson said points directly to Newsom.

“And there’s only one man in modern America who fits that description. Gavin Newsom, the governor of California and perhaps not coincidentally, Joe Biden’s new closest friend,” Carlson said.

He then mocked the California governor for his recent comments about being “mesmerized” by Biden.

“‘I get mesmerized by you, Joe Biden.’ Imagine saying that as a compliment,” Carlson concluded. “You couldn’t do it — few human beings could do it, but Gavin Newsom had no problem at all. Those words rolled right off his fork tongue. He never stopped smiling. So, if you’re looking for the leader of the coup, there he is right there.”
