Congresswoman Reveals Mayorkas’ Threat Regarding Possible Impeachment

Rep. Kat Cammack (R-FL) recently revealed that Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, facing possible impeachment from House Republicans, told lawmakers they won’t like “who comes next” if he’s removed from the Biden administration.

During a closed-door meeting with House Republicans, Cammack said that as GOP lawmakers told Mayorkas that he would be impeached soon, the secretary responded, “You’re not going to like who comes next.”

Cammack recalled the story during an interview with Fox News host Harris Faulkner.

“I asked him if that was a threat, and he just smiled,” Cammack added. “This man is dangerous, he knows exactly what he’s doing and he is two-faced. We need to get rid of him now.”

Faulkner then asked the Florida congresswoman to explain what Mayorkas meant by “who comes next.”

“I asked him. I said, ‘Is that a threat?’ And he just smiled, and I thought, ‘This man knows exactly what he’s doing,’” Cammack replied. “This is 100 percent by design. They want an open border crisis, whether it is for an election, whether it’s for future votes as they work to get rid of citizenship as a requirement for voting, we’re not sure.”

Cammack continued by saying that Mayorkas’ latest comments on his possible oust from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will be on the minds of many House Republicans as they move closer toward impeachment.

Since President Joe Biden took office, the southern border has been in disarray, with millions of illegal immigrants crossing into the U.S. as they see fit. Under the president’s watch, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has repeatedly reported record highs in unlawful migration at the U.S.-Mexico border.

Just recently, Mayorkas appeared on Fox News, where he said that reports detailing more than 70% of illegal immigrants crossing into the U.S. daily “would not surprise me at all.”

“And I will tell you that when individuals are released, they are released into immigration enforcement proceedings. They are on alternatives to detention. And we have returned or removed a record number of individuals. We are enforcing the laws that Congress has passed,” the House Homeland Security told Fox News host Bret Baier.

Despite illegal immigration being a dire issue that affects all Americans, Mayorkas told Congress in November 2022 that the southern border was “secure.”
