Judge In Trump Civil Case Fines Former President $10,000

Manhattan Judge Arthur Engoron, presiding over former President Donald Trump’s civil case in New York, recently fined the former president for a second time, accusing him of violating one of the gag orders restricting Trump’s speech.

New York Attorney General Letitia James brought Engoron to preside over Trump’s civil case in the Big Apple. Notably, the judge was seen smiling when Trump was brought into the courtroom and James, the person responsible for persecuting the former president, ran on a campaign to “get Trump.”

Despite such outright hatred for the former president, the Biden Department of Justice allows James and Engoron to prosecute the GOP presidential frontrunner.

Recently, Engoron slapped Trump with a $10,000 fine over comments the former president made outside the New York courtroom concerning “a person who’s very partisan sitting alongside” Engoron.

After Trump’s comments, Engoron forced the former president to take the stand and explain his remark, according to the New York Times.

“Mr. Trump said that his comments had referred not to the clerk, whom he had previously attacked, but to his former lawyer, Michael D. Cohen, a witness,” the outlet reported.

Engoron originally slammed Trump with a gag order on Oct. 3, 2023, moments before U.S. District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan, presiding over the former president’s case in Washington, D.C., issued a similar measure. The D.C. Judge’s decree effectively prevents the former president from defending himself against attacks from his prosecutors.

“This is not about whether I like the language Mr. Trump uses,” Chutkan said. “This is about language that presents a danger to the administration of justice.”

Trump is facing over 700 years behind bars if indicted on all four indictments he’s been hit with since announcing his bid for president of the U.S. in 2022. Interestingly, all those who have charged the former president have shown a blatant disregard for his presidency and conservatives across America.

Despite constantly being indicted, Trump is trouncing all GOP presidential contenders in polls. Just recently, a survey by TheMessenger/Harris X showed the former president leading in a hypothetical four-way race against President Joe Biden, independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and Cornel West.
