The Left Attacks Trump Over ‘Poisoning the Blood’ Phrase

Once again, the left tried to twist former President Donald Trump’s words. This time, it was over the language he used while discussing immigration during a New Hampshire rally over the weekend.

“They let — I think the real number is 15, 16 million people into our country. When they do that, we got a lot of work to do. They’re poisoning the blood of our country,” Trump said at the rally.

The left immediately pointed out the phrase “poisoning the blood,” a phrase they say was similar to words spoken by Adolf Hitler. The Biden campaign also released a statement criticizing the former president’s rhetoric.

“Donald Trump channeled his role models as he parroted Adolf Hitler, praised Kim Jong Un, and quoted Vladimir Putin while running for president on a promise to rule as a dictator and threaten American democracy,” the Biden campaign said.

MSNBC’s “Meet The Press” host Kristen Welker questioned Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) on Sunday about Trump’s language regarding immigration, asking him if he was “comfortable” with the words used.

“We’re talking about language,” Graham responded. “I could care less about what language people use as long as we get it right.”

Graham wasn’t the only person not to cave into the left’s agenda to make Trump out to look like a bigot. Fox News host Brian Kilmeade defended the former president’s “poisoning of the blood” statement Monday morning.

“He was talking about the border. He was talking about people coming from other countries, coming from prisons.” Kilmeade said. “He’s just trying to say we want to keep America, America. We want to build up the border and find out who’s coming in and out. And they tried to say that this language was the problem.”

According to a Monmouth University poll released on Monday, only 26% of Americans approve of Biden’s handling of immigration, while 69% disapprove. The left knows that Biden’s immigration policies are failing and knows that Trump can deliver, which is why they are doing everything possible to taint his reputation.

As president, Trump has promised to “immediately stop the invasion of our southern border” and end illegal immigration, one of the top concerns of Americans heading into next year’s election. He also promised to reimpose his travel ban and expand it to “keep radical Islamic terrorists out of the country,” especially after the October 7 attack on Israel by Hamas.

Trump also proposed ending birthright citizenship to deter migrants from crossing the border and making it mandatory that at least one parent would have to be a U.S. citizen for a child to become eligible for Social Security numbers, passports, and other benefits.

It appears that the left is trying to do everything they can to keep Trump from retaking the White House. With the latest polls showing him leading Biden, the left are doing everything they can to try and get more voters on their side. With the way that the Biden administration has handled the border, the economy, and crime, they have their work cut out for them.
