Leftists and Democrats have seized upon yet another tragedy in an effort to politicize every act of violence plaguing America. The horrific shooting at a Colorado Springs gay nightclub this past weekend was the latest opportunity to paint all who do not completely accept LGBTQ culture as domestic terrorists.
The shooting took place Saturday night inside Club Q, killing five and injuring 18 others. The LGBTQ club was hosting a variety of musical acts and was crowded at the time the shooting occurred. Two patrons of the club subdued the shooter until police arrived shortly after he opened fire on the crowd.
Police have identified the shooting suspect as Anderson Aldrich, who has been charged with five counts of first-degree murder and five counts of bias-motivated crime causing bodily injury so far. He is being held in the El Paso County Jail without bail.
Reports indicate that Aldrich was arrested in June 2021 in regard to a bomb threat and a standoff with police at his mother’s home. Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report by Aldrich’s mother claiming he was “threatening to cause harm to her with a homemade bomb, multiple weapons, and ammunition.”
Deputies responded and spoke with Aldrich but he refused to surrender as ordered. Officers ordered the evacuation of nearby homes in response to the bomb threat. Negotiators were able to get Aldrich to exit his mother’s house after several hours. He was immediately arrested without further incident and no explosives were found at the scene.
The case against Aldrich was dropped and the court records were sealed for unknown reasons. As a result, Aldrich was able to pass a routine background check when purchasing the two firearms used in Saturday’s deadly shooting.
Despite the uncertainty surrounding the motive for the shooting and the unexplained dismissal of the criminal charges last year, Joe Biden and other leftists immediately cast the shooting as another hate crime against the entire LGBTQ community.
Leftists on social media blamed Tucker Carlson, the Twitter account Libs of TikTok, and all Republican voters in general.
Twitter user Alex Berg wrote on Sunday that “any news network or Sunday show that has a Republican on today better ask about their support of “Don’t Say Gay,” groomer rhetoric and anti-trans legislation. If they supported any of this, they are complicit in the Club Q attack and violence against LGBTQ+ people, full stop.”
Leftists are using a mass shooting to try and blackmail us into accepting the castration and sexualization of children. These people are just beyond evil. I have never felt more motivated to oppose everything they stand for, with every fiber of my being. Despicable scumbags.

Conservative media figure Matt Walsh responded on Monday with a tweet that called out the leftist rush to claim victimhood. “Leftists are using a mass shooting to try and blackmail us into accepting the castration and sexualization of children,” he wrote.
